St.Theresa’s church is less than 3 kms north east of Kalimpong town. It is the largest Roman Catholic Church in Kalimpong. The unique aspect of this church is that it was built on the lines of a Buddhist Gumpha. The inner walls are adorned with wood carvings which depict Biblical scenes. Another interesting feature about this church is that the wood carved figures actually resemble Buddhist Monks. This shows Tibetan influence on church architecture.
